Instagramers capture Zoo like never before

Stuffed with donuts and armed with smart phones and professional cameras, more than 50 Instagram photography enthusiasts charged our gates, ready to capture the Zoo like we’ve never seen before. These extremely fashionable shutterbug folk gathered here March 21, in celebration of #WWIM11, the 11th Worldwide InstaMeet.

InstaMeets are gatherings for local Instagram addicts to photograph the same subject or environment, in their own artistic way. We were honored @instadfw chose us to host this glorious, annual Worldwide InstaMeet.

“It was a great opportunity for the Instagramers/photographers to get together at the Zoo and shoot,” said @instadfw creator, Jeyson Paez. “I was surprised to see so many photos of animals; usually they take photos that portray their individual styles.”

After the InstaMeet, we were left with 225 creative photos to sort through and select three winners. It wasn’t easy.
